About Us

Alyssa

My Name is Alyssa, I will be 16 in April.  I am part of a big family, 9 kids here on earth & 6 up in heaven in the arms of Jesus. I am a Christian, & believe that Christianity is more of a relationship with God then something you believe. James 2:26 "As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead." If you say you are a Christian to me your life better show it & people should be able to see the love of God through you!  That's just me though!  I have to amazing parents, that have supported me in everything I have ever wanted to do.  They have an unconditional love!  I'm homeschooled & a junior, school isn't one of my favorite things to do but it has to be done... Ya know what I mean?  Anywho!  If you wanna know how I got into blogging for orphans with Down syndrome, read this post "The Little Girl Who Started It All."  I will some it up here for you though :)  I came across a little girl on Reece's Rainbow & she stole my heart, I then blogged for her till she found a family.  I then kept in contact with her parents, until she got home!  December 3rd will mark a month that she has been home!  Here is the baby doll I am talking about!  This is Clare-Bug!
She is my inspiration for all of the blogging I do.  This blog was made to glorify God in all that is done on here!  Kaitlyn & I are doing so many different things to make sure that we take NONE of the credit & that it all goes to God!
Well I can't think of anything else to say except the fact that I cannot wait to see what amazing things God is going to do through this blog!  I am ready to make known to the world how beautiful children with Down syndrome are.  They are PERFECT.

Kaitlyn

My name is, Kaitlyn.  I'm 16.  I have eight little brothers & four (soon to be 5) little sisters.  And two very amazing parents!  I am a strong Christian believer!  I love Jesus Christ with all my heart & want Him to be the leader in my life.  I've learned that His way is the BEST way!  I want to always listen to God's calling to me!   My all time favorite book in the Bible is James!  And often you'll find me sharing the verse James 1:2-3! It helps people when they are going through rough times.  :)
My hobbies are, photography, sewing (a little), & blogging!  Yes, I'm a very boring teen! But, hey! Tha'ts the way God made me! :D

I've been home schooled all my life & I'm a sophomore in high school.  I love to do my personal devotions right before I start school!  It really helps me get prepared for the day ahead of me!  I'm obsessed with sticky notes! But, for a good reason! I write down pretty much every prayer request/praise that I have, & stick them above my bed & school desk!  That way I can remember all my prayers! I believe when we pray we should have a close relationship with God & that it should feel like you're talking to a best friend.  God loves to hear your cries for help!  He wants you to talk to Him! <3 :)
I want to be a cheerleader in life!  Not a cheerleader with pom poms, a cheerleader for everyone!  I want to encourage people & help them see the brighter side of life & help them understand God's ways. Even though I'm learning a lot myself, I hope to help with the little things I do know! :)

The precious little princess that was listed on the Reece's Rainbow that stole my heart & was the cause my starting to help orphans with Down syndrome is Sonya!   There's only one word to describe this little angel, PRECIOUS!!!  Pure precious!  She's a true gift from God!  Her smile makes me smile!

Just back in January 2011, she was in the orphanage all alone.  She didn't have any of the things so many of us take for granted! No one kissed her little boo boos when she fell, no one hugged her, just cause they loved her, no one told her how special she was!  Until Amy & John Hinz came to her rescue!  Now she's home with the best family she could possibly have!   I hope to meet her someday soon!!!

She was the one who started me crazy about orphans <3    I love her more than words could ever describe!

I am now I Prayer warrior for three BEAUTIFUL little orphan babies with Down syndrome!   Henry, Doug & Tabitha!  All amazing little angels that God just so happened to make a little more special than the rest of us.  I love their little hearts too! I won't give up until I find their families!
